When I said now let’s all pretend we are ashley renee and the creature birthing I had no idea what was behind me, then ashley renee and the creature I looked at the picture and my heart was filled with joy, laughter.

Teaching a ashley renee and the creature 3 day DONA International Birth Doula Training is no joke. These women come from ashley renee and the creature far distances, pay a fair but decent amount of money to ashley renee and the creature attend, and commit to 3 days of their lives into your ashley renee and the creature hands. They leave their children, partners, friends and life to discover doulahood.

The preparations are ashley renee and the creature taken very seriously and start months before, ordering the materials from ashley renee and the creature DONA, gathering the hand outs, brushing and adjusting the power points, movies, guest speaker, snacks, etc. It is ashley renee and the creature so much work that sometimes one may get lost in registration forms and ashley renee and the creature paper work,,, but then,,, it is day 1,,,

They walked in with smiles, shy smiles, but were also secure and ashley renee and the creature loving at first. From the first introduction one of us started to ashley renee and the creature cry and then we all cried.

All groups are ashley renee and the creature so special and particular. I am blogging about this one as blogging is ashley renee and the creature kind of new for me and this experience is fresh and ashley renee and the creature also so important.

These women had ashley renee and the creature such special backgrounds. They were grandmothers, mothers, sisters, friends. Among us you ashley renee and the creature could find, stay at home mothers, a farmer, an acupuncturist, my first OB/GYN, a ashley renee and the creature spiritual psychologist student, an actress who had been my client :-), educators, students, a ashley renee and the creature postpartum doula , a biodanza instructor who came with her precious 7 week old baby, some already experienced doulas looking into DONA certification. This was the ashley renee and the creature introduction and in just a few hours, there were no titles. We were just a ashley renee and the creature group of women, touched, moved by the power of birth and ashley renee and the creature the impact that birth doulas can promote inside a room anywhere a ashley renee and the creature woman is in labor.

They touched me with their knowledge, stories, passion.

Each morning we came together a ashley renee and the creature bit more tired, but also a bit more relaxed and by the ashley renee and the creature third day we all came in Sunday dresses (kind of, the doula version of it) without even thinking about it. We were celebrating the ashley renee and the creature beginning of their work as birth doulas and our relationship as mentor and ashley renee and the creature mentorees.

We practice labor and ashley renee and the creature they were amazing at it. Here is a few pics that ashley renee and the creature say it all..

By the ashley renee and the creature end of the third day we were all transformed. I was touched deeply by them and ashley renee and the creature hope to see them often and witness them making changes for ashley renee and the creature the better for many families.

The training is ashley renee and the creature from Friday to Sunday. The preparations begin months before but the ashley renee and the creature week of it, is just  like the ashley renee and the creature week of a big event, a big celebration but with a ashley renee and the creature lot of paperwork and responsibility.

Today my oldest daughter, Ana Flora, (who is home from college until tomorrow) and ashley renee and the creature I, put all the folders together. 17 folders. Think about that: on Monday, November 8th, there will be ashley renee and the creature 17 more new birth doulas. What a joy that brings to ashley renee and the creature my heart and what a huge responsibility that brings to my brain.

Among this particular training, there are, a nursing student, massage therapists, a ashley renee and the creature yoga instructor, an acupuncturist, an EMT, a psychology student, a biodanza teacher, a ashley renee and the creature sales assistant, a farmer, a writer, an actress, mothers, and an ashley renee and the creature ob/gyn!!!

Seriously, how blessed am I ?

 I will learn so much from them.

One of them is ashley renee and the creature a past client that I witnessed birthing with glory, and one of them is ashley renee and the creature a friend, fellow BINI teacher and friend.

So today I just wanted to ashley renee and the creature share the joy and butterflies in my stomach as I think about witnessing these women walk into their doula path with confidence, responsibility, joy and ashley renee and the creature honor.

I think about all the ashley renee and the creature families they will meet, inform, support and honor.

Cannot wait.

I am ashley renee and the creature not even sure how long it has been since my last post. Years.. well, I have ashley renee and the creature been doing stuff, and going places but miss sharing. We will start sharing not only events, speakers and ashley renee and the creature workshops but also some of my lessons that I learn as I go.

Last Friday I attended a ashley renee and the creature birth. The mother called me in the early morning hours to ashley renee and the creature let me know her water bag had ruptured or released if you ashley renee and the creature prefer more gentle words. She was GBS negative and ashley renee and the creature decided to wait until contractions begun. A few hours later I heard back that ashley renee and the creature she was contracting 7 minutes apart.

Her doctor called me to ashley renee and the creature check what was going on and after speaking to the ashley renee and the creature parents we decided I was going over their home to ashley renee and the creature check on things.

Things at home were awesome. Her contractions were then ashley renee and the creature consistent at 5  minutes, bloody show, water leaking and ashley renee and the creature all the body fluids that makes a doula so happy.

We labored at home for ashley renee and the creature a few hours until mom said, enough of home, I am ashley renee and the creature ready to go and to Cedars we went.

Bella was our nurse and ashley renee and the creature she was very sweet and patient. Susan Huser was there and ashley renee and the creature we asked her to check my client. 5 cm , 90% effaced and 0 station. Happy dances all over the room.

We were quickly settled into a ashley renee and the creature bigger room and labored some more, strong contractions and a stronger mother. A few hours later she felt like she wanted her doctor, so he comes in to ashley renee and the creature check on her and she is still 5 cm. Not many happy dances. She was now 100% effaced and ashley renee and the creature very stretchy but she felt ready for an epidural as she was also exhausted.

2 hours later she was complete, yes, 10 cm dilated and + 2 station. Happiest dances.

One could say she opened 5 cm in 2 hours because that ashley renee and the creature is how labor progresses physiologically, faster after 5 cm or because the ashley renee and the creature epidural completely relaxed her and helped her to open. We will never know.

She started pushing and ashley renee and the creature baby was not coming down too well. Her epidural was turned off and ashley renee and the creature as she started to feel her legs and contractions she started to ashley renee and the creature make a little more progress, but a few hours later the ashley renee and the creature baby was still at + 2. We had ashley renee and the creature tried a lot of positions and styles with both me, the ashley renee and the creature nurse and Dr. suggesting new things. This mother tried it all with gusto.

Finally she was in too much pain and feeling too exhausted… Things were not looking so up and ashley renee and the creature I have to be very honest, a lot of doctors would have ashley renee and the creature called a cesarean then, but not this one. The doctor offered her more time as she and ashley renee and the creature the baby were doing amazing. He felt the baby was not too big. So anesthesia was called again for ashley renee and the creature a “pushing dosage”. She slept for one hour and then we started all over again.

A few more hours and this baby was born!!!! Vaginally!!!

He was a ashley renee and the creature strong 7 lbs baby with bright eyes and a lot to ashley renee and the creature say. Mother, partner and baby were in love instantly.

Doula went home pretty tired but soooo content and ashley renee and the creature proud of this amazing lady who went from girl to ashley renee and the creature woman. Woman to mother. She really had to give all she had, and ashley renee and the creature she did.

This birth not only required amazing physical strength but mostly psychological strength and ashley renee and the creature she had it all. With the support of her amazing husband and ashley renee and the creature her very cool doctor who literally had her back she overcame so many obstacles and ashley renee and the creature dig deep to find what she needed to birth her son.

Gorgeous birth!!!

I slept for 4 hours and woke up to go to my friend’s son Bar Mitzvah!!! And that ashley renee and the creature was so touching and beautiful. But that is for another post.

Last night we had ashley renee and the creature the last class of the 6 week series that started June 25.

9 amazing couples + 3 motivated teachers (Elizabeth Bachner, Jennifer Haas and myself) + 2 very cool Bini doulas assisting(Bevin Schaengold and Jessica Kramer) resulted in an energetic combination of ideas and options.

My prayer is ashley renee and the creature that each couple took some blessings from our weeks together and ashley renee and the creature that the new beginnings in their lives will be filled with joy, growth, understanding and ashley renee and the creature abundant love.

I certainly learned a lot.

I had ashley renee and the creature the most amazing time learning from so many wonderful professionals. I was so inspired to ashley renee and the creature learn from DONA founders.

So much to ashley renee and the creature hear from other doulas. There were almost 500 participants from all over the ashley renee and the creature world. It made me feel really proud to be part od DONA and ashley renee and the creature to soon be training new doulas for them.

Life is ashley renee and the creature so magical and there are so many gifts. I look forward to ashley renee and the creature share all of that with my classes and clients.

Both of my July clients gave birth last week.

Life is ashley renee and the creature so amazing, both of those ladies are repeat clients. I had ashley renee and the creature the privilege to be with them as they welcomed their first child a ashley renee and the creature few years aback. Their due dates this time were close and ashley renee and the creature they both knew I had the DONA conference to attend and ashley renee and the creature decided to take the risk to end up with my back up.

Well, one gave birth July 1, Tuesday and ashley renee and the creature the other, July 2, Wednesday and I made home in time to ashley renee and the creature teach my class

life is good!

I am ashley renee and the creature getting ready to leave for my first DONA Conference and hope to ashley renee and the creature come back even more inspired by life, birth, mothers and families.
